Full-Time Housekeeper in Malibu
We're looking for a Full-Time Housekeeper for a residence in Malibu. This is not the family's primary residence - you may be asked to provide support to their different properties. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm. Once a month, your schedule will shift to include the weekend (and have 2 days off during the week). Looking for someone who will meet the requirements below and ideally, be comfortable assisting with any outdoor areas (table/chair covers, moving equipment, etc.).
Overview:
The Housekeeper role supports an Estate in Malibu, CA. This role works closely with the Property Coordinator to maintain the interior and exterior of the property. This includes cleaning, maintenance, laundry, organization, provisioning, minor repairs and service as needed. This role will work collaboratively within a team and also independently to complete tasks.
Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning of interior and exterior areas, organization, and maintenance
Cleaning/set up of furniture, sports equipment, firepits, food items and other miscellaneous items
Housekeeping duties including refresh/turning of rooms and beds, detailing of bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas. Deep cleaning/detailed work when needed, as well as cleaning of delicate surfaces and materials which require extra care and expertise
Support for laundry services such as washing, folding, ironing and bringing items to the cleaners or tailor as needed
Maintain stock of all items on property and assist with purchases and provisioning
Inspect the interior and exterior of the property regularly, flagging items for maintenance or repair, and performing minor repairs when possible (change light bulbs, water plants, trouble-shoot wifi, A/V issues, etc.)
Organize various areas and items. Replenish/replace items which are expired, damaged, worn out, etc.
Assist with packing/unpacking of items
General household support and ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years working as a Housekeeper or in a related capacity
Team-spirited and collaborative
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to operate with high discretion
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 pounds
Must be comfortable working long hours, sometimes up to 14 hours in a day
Salary: $40+/hr, DOE
