Full Time Houseman in Beverly Hills

Prominent Businessperson seeks exceptional experienced Houseman with a couple years or more years of professional relevant experience and able to provide evidence of these references. This live-out position is primarily based in Beverly Hills but on an as needed basis will include traveling (rarely) to properties located in San Diego, etc. when needed. Gas and transportation will be compensated. The individual must be flexible, proactive and willing to work together as a team.. They must possess a professional and tactful demeanor and communication skills, exercise discretion and trustworthiness. Candidate preferably resides or has strong ties to the Los Angeles area. Overtime will occur and full Health Benefits are included.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job function satisfactorily, which includes the following essential job functions:

  • Hands-on cleaning including polishing floors, cleaning windows (mostly antique items)

  • Maintaining outdoor areas including patios, hardscape, and pools

  • Care of outdoor furniture, cushions, pillows

  • Comfortable and skilled at climbing ladders for various household projects

  • Assisting with heavy lifting, special projects and household event setup and teardown

  • Butler skills including setting a formal table, serving at small gatherings and sometimes larger events

  • Knowledge of basic bartending

  • Driving of the Principal Client or houseguests (not very often)

  • Cleaning, fueling and preventative maintenance coordination of vehicle fleet

  • Running errands efficiently several times per week (dry cleaning, groceries, etc)

  • Following daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal houseman task lists (maintenance of antique items, etc)

  • Willingness to follow checklists perfectly in-order every time to ensure consistency of service

  • Ability to operate complex control systems such as Crestron, Lutron, RTI and other similar sophisticated systems

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned (willingness to learn)

  • Maintain an excellent attendance record, rarely absent from work. (very important to be punctual when family is on site especially)

  • Ability to switch gears and tackle new tasks when needed to provide Principal, guests with space and privacy

  • Complies with laws, ordinances and regulations governing employment law;

  • Performs work in a safe and high quality manner;

  • Maintains utmost schedule flexibility to accommodate the needs of the household and Principal; and

  • Utmost discretion and confidentiality is maintained.

$40/Hour DOE
